The Exodraft ESP-10 is an innovative electrostatic particle filter with an integrated chimney fan, designed to drastically reduce harmful emissions from wood-burning stoves.
By effectively capturing and eliminating fine and ultrafine particles, the ESP-10 ensures a cleaner, healthier indoor and outdoor environment while optimising chimney performance under various weather conditions.
Superior Particle Filtration for Enhanced Air Quality
Wood-burning stoves release ultrafine particles that are harmful to human health, as they can penetrate deep into the lungs and bloodstream, potentially causing respiratory issues, inflammation, and other health problems.
The ESP-10 is engineered to combat this issue by:
- Reducing fine and ultrafine particles by 95%
- Decreasing total particle mass by 70-75%*
This level of efficiency is achieved using a high voltage electrode that captures even the smallest smoke gas particles—1,000 times smaller than a human hair—preventing them from entering the atmosphere and affecting air quality.
Integrated Chimney Fan for Optimal Draft Control
A key feature of the ESP-10 is its built-in chimney fan, which acts as a mechanical ventilator to ensure an optimal draft in the chimney. This functionality eliminates the dependency on natural draught, which varies with the weather, and facilitates an easy ignition process.
The fan also helps minimise smoke backdraft into the room when refueling the stove, enhancing the overall user experience.
Automatic Self-Cleaning Function
Unlike traditional filters that require frequent manual cleaning, the Exodraft ESP-10 is equipped with an automatic self-cleaning system. This function effectively burns off most accumulated particles, reducing maintenance and prolonging the filter’s efficiency.
Any remaining particles are safely redirected into the wood stove for combustion, eliminating the need for manual intervention.
High-Temperature Resistance & Robust Design
The ESP-10 is built to withstand extreme temperatures, capable of operating at a continuous maximum temperature of 400°C.
It is designed to be installed at the top of the chimney, where the smoke gas temperature is lower, ensuring optimal particle capture and efficient operation.
Smart Automatic On/Off Functionality
To enhance user convenience, the ESP-10 features a temperature-controlled automatic start/stop system. When the wood stove is ignited, the filter activates within 10-30 seconds, depending on the chimney configuration.
Once the fire burns out and the chimney temperature drops below 40°C, the filter continues operating for 30 minutes before switching to standby mode.
Easy Installation & Compatibility
The Exodraft ESP-10 is designed for wood stoves with a nominal heat output of 10kW and includes:
- A 5-meter cable with open wires for easy connection
- An integrated isolation switch
- Optional mounting accessories such as adapters for steel and masonry chimneys and flanges for stabilisation.
