Every delivery is handled personally by our team, ensuring that your items arrive in perfect condition and on time. We offer premium or essential services to customers within a 200 mile radius of our showroom (RG7 2PQ). If you’re located outside our standard delivery area, please contact us for a fast and personalised delivery quote.

Delivery Process

Once you place an order, we will contact you to provide an estimated delivery date. Upon arrival at our warehouse, or if the goods are already in stock, all items are carefully checked and undergo a quality control inspection. After this, we will contact you to arrange a delivery date that is convenient for you.

Please note that delivery arrangements must be made within 28 days of your goods being ready for delivery; after this period, storage fees may apply. Tracking is available upon request.

On the day of delivery, our team will contact you with an estimated time of arrival for your goods. While we strive to provide accurate timings, please note these are estimates and cannot always be guaranteed.

If you need to reschedule your delivery, please contact us as soon as possible to avoid any additional charges.

Delivery Transport

We offer various transport options based on the size, weight, and nature of your products. Below are the different delivery vehicles we use to ensure safe and timely delivery:

Small Van Delivery

Essential Delivery: (Customer Responsible for Unloading), (1 person)

• Budget-Friendly Option: Ideal for smaller, lighter items.
• Customer Responsibility: You will be responsible for unloading the items upon delivery.

Sprinter Van Delivery

Essential Delivery: (Customer Responsible for Unloading), (1 person)

• Larger Deliveries: For items up to 3 meters in length.
• More Room for Larger Loads: Ideal for more flexible deliveries.

Luton Van Delivery

Premium: Door-to-door Delivery, (1 person)

• Ideal for Larger Loads: Used for most of our standard deliveries. The Luton van is a compact, versatile vehicle that fits in tighter spaces.
• Vehicle Size: Approximately 6.7 meters (L) x 2.1 meters (W) x 3.3 meters (H).
• Tail-Lift Delivery: A pump truck will be used for unloading, which can be challenging on uneven surfaces like gravel or tarmac.

7.5 Tonne Lorry Delivery

Premium Large: Door-to-door Delivery, (1 person)

• For Heavier Deliveries (Over 500kg): Ideal for larger, heavier items requiring a more robust vehicle.
• Vehicle Size: Approximately 7 meters (L) x 2.5 meters (W) x 3.6 meters (H).
• Tail-Lift Delivery: A pump truck is used for unloading, but uneven surfaces may complicate the unloading process unless a forklift is available.

Delivery Timescales

• Estimated Delivery Time: Typically 2-3 working days, depending on stock availability or noted otherwise.
• Lead Times: Some items, especially bespoke products or out-of-stock items, may take longer to arrive. We’ll keep you updated on any changes to delivery times.
• Order Processing: We work closely with our suppliers to ensure prompt delivery. However, delays may occur beyond our control. If there are any delays or issues with your order, we’ll notify you immediately.

Important Note: Please do not schedule contractors or fitters until your goods have been delivered, as unexpected delays can occur.

What to Do When Goods Are Delivered

When your delivery arrives, please take the following steps to ensure everything goes smoothly:

1. Inspect the Goods: When the driver arrives, check the condition of the items before signing for them. If you notice any damage, please note it on the delivery note and contact us within 48 hours of receipt.
2. Sign for Delivery: The driver will ask you to sign for the goods, confirming that you have received them in good condition. Please inspect everything thoroughly before signing.
3. Damage Reporting: If there is any visible damage, please report it within 48 hours to ensure we can address the issue with the manufacturer. We are unable to accept damage claims after this timeframe.
4. Not Available at Time of Delivery: If you are not available to accept the delivery, please email us in advance to confirm your request for the item to be left unattended. However, please note that we cannot take responsibility for any damages if the goods are left without your presence.
5. Re-delivery Charges: If the driver is unable to deliver the goods (e.g., you are not at home), a re-delivery charge will apply. Our drivers can only wait for 5-10 minutes, so please make sure to be available during the scheduled time.
6. Cancellation or Amendments: If you need to cancel or amend your order after it has been dispatched, the goods will be returned at your expense. Any returns will be processed according to our Returns and Exchange Policy.

Delivery Terms & Conditions

• Access for Delivery Vehicles: Please ensure that there is adequate space for the delivery vehicle. For larger items, a Luton van or 7.5-tonne lorry may be used. Check access paths, driveways, and entrances to ensure the vehicle can deliver the goods. Gravel drives and unmade roads can be difficult for pump trucks – it is your responsibility to make us aware of this prior to delivery.
• Prior Notice: Please note that we cannot guarantee a phone call or prior notice before delivery.
• Delivery into the home: For health and safety, and insurance reasons, we are unable to delivery into a property.
• Delivery Charges: If we are unable to deliver due to access issues, or if you are not available to receive the goods, a re-delivery charge will apply.
• Damages: Any damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery to ensure proper resolution. We cannot guarantee a replacement if the damage is reported after this time.
• Return Delivery Costs: If you need to return your goods, the return delivery cost will be covered by the customer.

Additional Notes

• Accessibility: Please ensure that your delivery location is accessible to the appropriate delivery vehicle (e.g., Luton van, 7.5-tonne lorry). If in doubt, speak with our delivery team in advance.
• No Pallet Network: We do not use the pallet network for deliveries. All deliveries are handled directly by our team.
• Contractors/Fitters: We strongly advise against booking contractors or fitters until your goods are delivered, as unexpected delays can occur.

Collection Information

Click & Collect is available from our showroom in Reading, Berkshire, and may be a faster way to receive your goods.

Once your order is ready for collection, we will notify you. Please do not arrive for a collection without making prior contact with us to avoid disappointment.

Goods that are available for collection can be held for up to 2 weeks from the date you are notified that they are ready, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

If goods are not collected within this period, they will be moved off-site into our storage facility. Storage charges will apply at a rate of £20 per day until the goods are collected.

We recommend contacting us in advance if you need extra time to avoid storage fees.

Collection Process

Upon arrival, please head to the sales office where our team will greet you. Next, reverse your vehicle up to the large grey shutter door, where we will assist with loading your goods.

Once your items are securely loaded, you will be asked to sign for your collection, confirming that the goods have been received in good condition.

Loading Assistance: Our team can assist with loading palletised items using a forklift and by hand for others.

Collection Terms & Conditions

• Timescales: Goods available for collection must be picked up within 2 weeks of notification, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed. If not collected within this time, items will be moved to off-site storage and storage fees of £20 per day will apply.
• Weight Limits: For health and safety reasons, 1 person cannot hand-lift goods over 50kg into any vehicle.
• Vehicle Suitability: Ensure that your vehicle is appropriate for loading your goods. If the vehicle is not suitable, it will be rejected and a failed collection will occur. Delivery can be quoted at an additional cost.
• Responsibility for Goods: Once the goods are collected, they are the customer’s responsibility. We are not liable for any damage to your vehicle or goods during collection or transport.
• Dismantling Goods: If it is necessary to dismantle goods for loading, this will be done at your discretion. Please note that dismantling may affect the return process, and we cannot be held liable for any damages incurred during this procedure.

Please note: Bonfire cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle during the loading process or any damage sustained to the goods in transit.

By signing the Collection Note, you acknowledge that the goods have been received in full and in good condition, with no discrepancies.
