Solid Fuel Fire Baskets

Solid fuel fireplace baskets are designed to recreate the timeless charm of a traditional open fire using wood logs or smokeless fuels. Installed within an existing fireplace opening, they provide the authentic sights, sounds and warmth of a real wood burning fire, making them a popular choice for period homes and character properties.

These baskets are typically manufactured from durable cast iron or steel, built to withstand the high temperatures produced by solid fuel fires. Their open design allows flames to be clearly visible while encouraging good airflow around the fuel, helping the fire burn efficiently.

Solid fuel fire baskets are ideal for restoring original fireplaces or bringing decorative fireplaces back into use. When paired with a suitable grate, ash pan and fireback, they can transform a simple fireplace opening into a traditional focal point within the room.

Many designs replicate classic Victorian or Georgian fireplace baskets, making them perfect for heritage interiors, cottages and traditional living spaces. At the same time, simpler modern designs are also available for more contemporary fireplaces.

Our range of solid fuel fireplace baskets offers a variety of sizes and styles to suit different fireplace openings, allowing you to enjoy the authentic atmosphere and warmth of a real wood burning fire in your home.
