Browse our slate hearths online, our stonemasons cut standard sized riven and honed smooth slate hearths from Italian slate. Honed is very smooth and has a clean cut finish, whereas riven slate has a textured surface for a more rustic look.

Precut to standard sizes however we can specially cut products to your exact measurements if you require something specific.

Our slate hearths are suitable for gas and electric appliances up to a heat output of 4kW, we can cut and slab our hearths to make them suitable for wood burners and open fires, these products are slabbed with cement and cut into 3 pieces to allow for expansion before being glued back together.
