The Stûv 16/78-in Inset Wood Burning Stove is the widest model in the Stûv 16-in range, designed for customers who want a broader fire view, longer log capacity and stronger built-in presence while keeping the essential, integrated look of the Stûv 16 family. It is the most substantial option in the range and is best suited to larger fireplace openings or feature walls where the fire is intended to have more impact.
Like the other 16-in models, it is designed to fit neatly into an existing hearth or a newly created fireplace with limited building work. Its clean inset proportions make it easy to integrate into different styles of interior, while the stove’s larger width gives the flames a stronger horizontal presence. It uses a hinged door system and closed-door operation, with a single control managing the three air supplies. The double-combustion system helps produce more efficient, cleaner burning with less ash and lower emissions.
The 16/78-in can also be customised with a range of frame options, including a narrow frame, an applied frame, a customisable frame and the larger D4 frame. The D4 format increases the visual presence of the insert and can integrate a wood niche to either side, with the log holder included.

Frame Options
Hinged Door System
The Stûv 16 is fitted with a hinged door which only allows the fire to be refuelled. The Stûv operates only with the door closed.
Frame D4
The frame D4 increases the presence of the fireplace by giving it a 16/9 format and makes it possible to integrate a wood niche.

Fan
Stûv 16 stoves, unlike the old roomheaters, have been designed to operate without ventilation. The fan is an optional extra.
The fan improves the circulation of hot air in the rom and makes the temperature uniform.
