The 16/68-in follows the same core concept as the rest of the range: an essential fire, seamlessly integrated. Its compact inset design allows it to sit comfortably within an existing hearth or a new fireplace build, while the stove itself remains simple, understated and highly effective. It uses a hinged door system and closed-door operation, with a single control adjusting the three air supplies. The double-combustion system helps optimise the burn, reduce ash and keep emissions low. As standard it operates without a fan, but an optional fan kit is available to improve circulation and make temperatures more uniform.
It is also highly flexible in how it can be finished. Frame options include a narrow frame, an applied frame, a customisable frame and the larger D4 frame, which creates a wider 16:9 style look and allows the integration of a wood niche to the left or right, complete with included log holder.

Frame Options
Hinged Door System
The Stûv 16 is fitted with a hinged door which only allows the fire to be refuelled. The Stûv operates only with the door closed.
Frame D4
The frame D4 increases the presence of the fireplace by giving it a 16/9 format and makes it possible to integrate a wood niche.

Fan
Stûv 16 stoves, unlike the old roomheaters, have been designed to operate without ventilation. The fan is an optional extra.
