About RAIS
RAIS develops and manufactures premium fireplace products from its base in Frederikshavn, Denmark.
Its approach combines design, functionality and technology, with products intended to become part of the architecture of the room rather than simply acting as standalone heating appliances.
The RAIS collection includes wood burning stoves, fireplace inserts, freestanding and built-in gas fires and bioethanol fireplaces.
Danish Fireplace Design
RAIS is strongly associated with Scandinavian design, using simple proportions, understated detailing and generous glazing to keep attention focused on the flames.
Many appliances can be personalised with different body colours, handles, glazing configurations, rotating bases and heat-storage options, allowing customers to tailor the finished stove to the surrounding interior.
RAIS Wood Burning Stoves
RAIS produces a broad range of freestanding wood burning stoves, from compact appliances to tall architectural models.
Popular collections include Nexo, Caro, Viva L and Q-Tee, each offering a different interpretation of contemporary Scandinavian stove design.
Selected models are available with options such as side glass, fresh-air connections, heat-storage stones and RAIS CleverAir automatic combustion control.
RAIS Nexo
Nexo is one of the most distinctive RAIS stove ranges, with clean rectangular proportions, large areas of glass and several height options.
Depending on the model, customers can choose from different doors, handles, colours, side-glass configurations and rotating bases.
RAIS Caro & Viva L
Caro has softer, rounded proportions and is available in several heights, making it suitable for contemporary living rooms where a less angular design is preferred.
Viva L offers a taller cylindrical format with a strong vertical flame view and a choice of sizes and specifications.
RAIS Built-In Wood Fires
RAIS also produces architectural inset wood-burning fireplaces for customers who want the fire integrated into a purpose-built chimney breast or feature wall.
The RAIS 500 and 600 ranges include front-facing, corner, three-sided, tunnel and room-divider configurations, while the larger Visio collection is designed for substantial contemporary fireplace installations.
These models should be selected before construction begins because fireplace opening dimensions, ventilation, heat output and flue requirements all affect the finished installation.
RAIS Gas Fires
RAIS gas fires provide real flames with the convenience of remote-controlled operation.
Several familiar RAIS designs are available in gas versions, including Nexo, Caro, Viva L and Q-Tee, allowing customers to retain the same Scandinavian design language while choosing a different fuel type.
RAIS Bioethanol Fires
RAIS also offers bioethanol versions of selected stove designs.
These appliances create a genuine flame without requiring a conventional chimney or fixed gas connection, making them suitable for projects where flue installation is difficult or where a more flexible fireplace position is required.
Bioethanol models still need to be installed and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements for room size, ventilation and clearances.
RAIS CleverAir
CleverAir is RAIS’s automatic combustion-control system, available on selected wood burning stoves.
Rather than relying entirely on manual adjustment, CleverAir automatically regulates the supply of combustion air to help maintain efficient burning throughout the firing cycle.
Choosing a RAIS Fireplace
When choosing a RAIS model, consider fuel type, required heat output, room size, glazing configuration, chimney or flue arrangement and the amount of customisation required.
For built-in fires, the finished opening and surrounding fireplace construction should be planned around the appliance before installation begins.
RAIS at Bonfire
Bonfire supplies a wide selection of RAIS wood burning, gas and bioethanol fireplaces, including Nexo, Caro, Viva L, Q-Tee, 500, 600 and Visio models.
