The RAIS Visio 2 Corner Inset Wood Burning Fire is a contemporary two-sided fireplace insert designed to bring a wide view of the flames into a corner or architectural feature wall.
With glass across the front and one side, the Visio 2 opens the fire up to more than one viewing angle. This makes it particularly effective where a conventional front-facing inset would feel too enclosed, allowing the flames to remain visible as you move around the room.
The design is deliberately minimal, with a largely all-glass appearance and discreet framing that keeps the focus on the fire itself. RAIS allows the appliance to be incorporated either centrally or into a corner, giving more flexibility when planning a bespoke fireplace installation.
The glass door uses a rise-and-fall sliding system, opening vertically upwards rather than swinging into the room. This helps maintain the clean appearance of the installation and makes access to the combustion chamber straightforward.
A black-edged glass door is supplied as standard, while a stainless-steel edged version is available as an accessory. Optional cover frames are also offered in black or stainless steel for installations where a more defined border around the finished opening is preferred.
The supplied technical specification lists a rated heat output of 7kW, together with an operating range of approximately 5–9kW and 80% efficiency. This gives the Visio 2 a useful balance between architectural scale and residential heat output.
The appliance also incorporates the RAIS Advanced Glass Concept®, developed to create favourable conditions around the glazing and help maintain a clear view of the flames during normal combustion.
The manufacturer information supplied displays SIA, HETAS and DEFRA markings, making the Visio 2 particularly relevant to UK installations, subject to the applicable certification and installation requirements.

Expert Insight
The Visio 2 is a strong option where a corner fireplace is wanted without moving up to the much larger Visio 2 L. Its two-sided glazing provides a broader flame view than a conventional insert, while the 7kW rated output makes it better suited to many residential spaces than higher-output architectural fires.
Suitability
The RAIS Visio 2 Corner Inset Wood Burning Fire is particularly suited to contemporary living rooms, corner chimney breasts, open-plan interiors and bespoke architectural fireplace installations where the fire needs to be visible from two adjoining directions.

The supplied retailer page titles the appliance as 7.9kW, but the detailed technical specification lists the rated output as 7kW, with a 5–9kW operating range. The 7kW figure should therefore be used as the published rated output unless a different certified variant is being supplied.
Final recess dimensions, hearth construction, combustion air requirements, flue design and combustible clearances should be confirmed from the current RAIS installation manual and technical drawing before installation.
