The RAIS Visio 1 Inset Wood Burning Fire is a minimalist built-in wood burner designed to place the flame at the centre of the room with as little visible framing as possible. Its defining characteristic is the almost frameless front glass, surrounded only by a slim black or stainless-steel edge.
The Visio 1 is designed for customers who want the appearance of a built-in fireplace rather than a conventional freestanding stove. Once installed into the wall or chimney breast, the appliance presents a broad, uninterrupted view of the fire with very little visual distraction.
Its door is engineered to maintain that minimal appearance. When opened, the door moves aside and disappears from the main viewing area, preserving the clean architectural character of the installation.
A black-edged glass door is supplied as standard, while a stainless-steel edged version is available as an accessory. An optional cover frame can also be specified in either black or stainless steel where a defined trim around the finished wall opening is preferred. Alternatively, the appliance can be installed without the cover frame for an even more understated finish.
The RAIS Advanced Glass Concept® is used to support a clearer view through the combustion chamber glass and help create favourable conditions for keeping the glass clean during normal operation.
For the UK market, the supplied manufacturer information lists a nominal heat output of approximately 7kW. The wider technical reference also lists 7.9kW, so the exact rating should be confirmed against the current UK data sheet for the model being supplied.
The Visio 1 is shown with SIA, HETAS and DEFRA markings in the supplied manufacturer information, making it particularly relevant to UK installations subject to the exact appliance certification and installation requirements.
With its restrained frame, built-in format and large uninterrupted flame view, the RAIS Visio 1 is particularly suited to contemporary interiors where the fireplace is intended to integrate seamlessly into the architecture.

Expert Insight
The Visio 1 is designed around visual simplicity rather than decorative stove detailing. Its greatest strength is how little of the appliance remains visible once installed, making it especially effective in flush-built chimney breasts and modern architectural fireplace walls where the flame itself should remain the main feature.
Suitability
The RAIS Visio 1 Inset Wood Burning Fire is well suited to contemporary living rooms, bespoke chimney breasts, architectural fireplace walls and minimalist interiors requiring a built-in wood burner with a wide, largely uninterrupted frontal flame view.

The supplied technical table lists installation and outer-frame dimensions incompletely as “770 – 432” and “781 – 444”, without clearly presenting all three W-D-H measurements. These dimensions should therefore be taken from the current RAIS technical drawing before building the opening.
The supplied information also references 154kg of additional heat accumulation stones, but the wording does not make clear whether this is a maximum accessory quantity, product weight or another specification. This should be verified before publication.
Final recess dimensions, hearth construction, ventilation, combustible clearances, chimney/flue specification and UK compliance requirements must be confirmed from the current RAIS installation manual and by the installer.
