The Jøtul F 378 V2 Advance High Top wood burning stove combines a 6.5kW nominal heat output with 78% efficiency, an enclosed base with cast iron door and a tall 1534mm profile. Finished in black paint, this version also provides concealed base storage and the ability to integrate hidden heat-accumulating stone within the High Top section.
The lower base is fitted with an elegant cast iron door, keeping the storage area concealed rather than leaving it open. Behind the door is a practical storage compartment with a detachable shelf, allowing the space to be configured around the items being stored.
The High Top is the main distinction between this model and the standard F 378 Advance. At 1534mm high, it creates considerably more vertical presence while retaining the same 443mm width and 453mm depth.
Hidden heat-accumulating stone can be integrated within the upper section, allowing the heat-storage element to remain concealed without interrupting the clean external appearance of the stove.
Jøtul’s Advance door system uses a magnetic locking mechanism designed for smooth opening and closing. An integrated stay function can hold the firebox door open while logs are placed onto the tinder bed, before releasing with a small push on the handle.
Jøtul also specifies an upgraded air system designed to help keep the glass clean, supporting a clearer view into the firebox during operation.
Performance is centred around a 6.5kW nominal output and 78% efficiency. At 200kg, the F 378 Advance High Top is a substantial freestanding appliance despite retaining a relatively narrow 443mm width.

Expert Insight
The F 378 Advance High Top combines two of the more distinctive F 370 Advance design features: the enclosed cast iron storage door of the F 378 and the increased vertical presence of the High Top format. It is therefore a strong option where concealed storage is preferred but the taller architectural proportions of the range are also wanted.
The ability to incorporate hidden heat-accumulating stone gives the High Top section a functional purpose beyond its additional height.
Suitability
The Jøtul F 378 V2 Advance High Top is suited to contemporary interiors where a tall, slim wood burning stove with concealed lower storage is preferred. Its 6.5kW nominal output should be considered alongside the actual heating requirement of the room.
Installation/ Technical Notes
The stove measures 1534 x 443 x 453mm (H x W x D) and weighs 200kg. This version has a High Top, black painted finish and an enclosed base with cast iron door, storage compartment and detachable shelf.
