The Schiedel ICID 1m twin wall chimney pipe is a 1000mm flue section designed to build longer vertical or horizontal runs within an ICID twin wall chimney system. Available for 125mm (5″) and 150mm (6″) internal flue diameters, it uses the ICID twist-lock jointing system and is intended where a substantial straight section of flue is required.
At 1000mm long, this is suited to sections of the chimney route where there is sufficient space for a longer pipe length. Shorter ICID pipe sections can then be used elsewhere in the installation where smaller distances need to be made up.
The pipe can be installed either vertically or horizontally, giving it a practical role in different parts of the flue layout. It forms part of the Schiedel ICID twin wall system and connects directly with compatible ICID components.
ICID Plus uses a twist-lock jointing method. The male and female collars of adjoining main chimney components are pushed together and then twisted through 1/6 of a turn to lock the collars into position where a locking band is required.
The wider ICID Plus system is designed with a load-bearing outer case, while the inner liner is free to expand independently. This allows thermal expansion to be accommodated within each individual system joint.
Two internal diameter options are available: 125mm (5″) and 150mm (6″). The correct version should be selected to match the adjoining ICID twin wall chimney components.
