The Katell Verona Optimyst Electric Fireplace Suite combines a clean, traditional-style surround with a high-gloss chamber and the Dimplex Optimyst 600 Cassette electric fire. Using ultrasonic water mist and lighting to create a three-dimensional flame and smoke effect, it offers the atmosphere of an open fire without requiring a chimney or flue.
At 1160mm across the mantel and 1010mm high, the Verona has balanced fireplace proportions that can work in both contemporary and more traditional interiors. Its high-gloss chamber provides a polished backdrop to the open Optimyst display and helps draw attention towards the moving flame effect.
The selected configuration shown is finished in Sandstone.
Dimplex Optimyst 600 Cassette
The Verona is supplied with the Dimplex Optimyst 600 Cassette.
Rather than displaying flames on a conventional screen, the cassette produces an illuminated fine water mist. As the mist rises through the fire bed, the lighting creates the appearance of moving flames and smoke with genuine physical depth.
This makes the Optimyst particularly effective where an open-fire appearance is preferred to a glass-fronted electric fire.
Three-Dimensional Flame Effect
The combination of ultrasonic mist and lighting creates a layered flame display that can be viewed from four sides.
Because the flame illusion exists physically above the cassette rather than behind a screen, the effect retains depth when viewed from different positions around the room.
The flame intensity is also adjustable, allowing the display to be made subtler or more prominent.
Easy-Fill Water Tank
The Optimyst 600 uses an integrated water reservoir to generate the mist.
A full tank provides approximately 8–10 hours of continuous operation before refilling is required.
The cassette requires a standard 230V electrical connection.
High-Gloss Chamber
The Verona incorporates a high-gloss chamber around the Optimyst cassette.
Its reflective finish gives the fireplace a cleaner, more polished appearance while providing contrast around the moving flame and smoke effect.
Simple Electric Installation
The Verona provides the visual character of an open fireplace without requiring gas, solid fuel or a conventional flue.
There is no combustion and no ash or fuel storage associated with its operation.

Expert Insight
The Verona Optimyst is a strong option where the customer wants the appearance of an open electric fire rather than a screen-based flame effect. Its illuminated water mist creates physical movement above the cassette, giving the display more depth when viewed from different angles.
The high-gloss chamber also distinguishes the Verona from slate-effect Optimyst suites, producing a cleaner and more polished fireplace aesthetic.
Suitability
The Katell Verona Optimyst is suited to contemporary, transitional and traditional living rooms where a complete fireplace suite with an open-fire-style effect is required. It is particularly relevant where flame atmosphere is the priority and a chimney or conventional fire installation is not available.
Installation/ Technical Notes
The Verona Optimyst is an electric fireplace suite requiring a suitable 230V electrical connection.

No chimney or flue is required.
