The Katell Italia Cento Deep Floor Mounted Electric Fire and Fireplace Suite is a wide, low-level electric fireplace range combining a floor-standing design with Charlton & Jenrick iRange Deep fire technology. Available in four sizes from 1500mm to 2300mm across the lower plinth, it features a deeper fuel bed, LiveFlame effects, smart control and up to 2kW heat output.
The Cento Deep is designed to sit flat against the wall while maintaining relatively low overall proportions. At 820mm high, its landscape format leaves useful wall space above the fireplace and can work particularly well where a television is intended to form part of the same room layout.
A mirrored plinth base creates the visual impression that the main fireplace is floating, while the floor-standing construction gives the suite a substantial and grounded installation.

The Cento Deep is available with four Charlton & Jenrick fire engines:

As the fire increases in width, the surrounding Cento suite also increases in scale, allowing the design to work across both medium and larger living spaces.
Deeper Fuel-Bed Design
The iRange Deep firebox provides additional depth for a more substantial fuel-bed arrangement.
The display incorporates logs, ember effects and ice crystals, with decorative transparent slate available as an additional option. A Premium Real Oak Log Set can also be selected where a more natural timber appearance is preferred.
The greater firebox depth allows the logs and illuminated fuel bed to form a stronger part of the overall fireplace display.
LiveFlame Technology
The iRange Deep uses LiveFlame Technology with three flame colour options:
- Orange
- White
- Blended
Each colour provides four mood settings, while flame height, brightness and movement can also be adjusted.
The visual effects can be operated without the heater, allowing the fire to provide ambience throughout the year.
Ambilight Fuel-Bed Lighting
An Ambilight flickering fuel-bed feature adds movement and illumination beneath the logs.
There are nine fuel-bed colour options and four mood settings, allowing the appearance to range from a warm amber-style glow to more contemporary colours.
Optional LED mood lighting with 13 colours is also available.
Smart Heating and Control
The Cento Deep can be operated through the supplied remote or the C&J Smart App.
Heating output is up to 2kW, with two automatic heat settings, thermostatic temperature control and automatic heat regulation.
A seven-day programmable timer allows heating periods to be scheduled, while open-window detection helps reduce unnecessary energy use if a sudden temperature drop is detected.
Optional crackling sound effects can also be accessed.

Expert Insight
The Cento Deep is particularly effective where a wide fireplace is wanted without taking excessive height on the wall. Its 820mm overall height keeps the proportions low, while the different widths allow the suite to be scaled around the room and television.
Compared with a Slimline fire, the iRange Deep configuration prioritises physical fuel-bed depth. This is the version to consider where larger logs, layered ember effects and a more substantial fireside display are more important than minimising projection into the room.
Suitability
The Katell Italia Cento Deep is suited to contemporary living rooms, open-plan spaces and media-focused interiors where a wide floor-standing fireplace is required. Its low-level design makes it particularly relevant where a television or other wall-mounted feature will sit above the suite.
Installation/ Technical Notes
The Cento Deep is designed for floor-standing, flat-to-wall installation.
No chimney or flue is required.
Overall depth depends on the section of the suite, with a top plinth depth of 326mm and lower plinth depth of 369mm across all listed models.
Katell Italia products are made to order, with a typical stated lead time of approximately 6–8 weeks.
The iRange Deep fire carries a 5-year extended parts warranty, with the first two years including parts and labour and the following three years covering parts only. Warranty registration is required within 30 days of installation.
