The Bassington ECO multi-fuel stove is a 5kW cast iron stove combining a large viewing window with a traditional splayed-leg design. Available in Black, Warm White Enamel or Oxford Grey Enamel, it balances classic proportions with contemporary detailing and offers up to 84% efficiency.
The large glass window is a key feature of the Bassington, giving a broad view of the fire and making the flames a stronger focal point within the room.
Its splayed legs introduce a more traditional character without making the stove feel overtly period in style. This makes the Bassington suitable for interiors that sit between classic and contemporary design.
The enamel versions add further contrast through stainless steel detailing to the handle, primary air control, riddling knob and hinge pins. These details give the Warm White Enamel and Oxford Grey Enamel finishes a more contemporary visual treatment than the standard black version.
For a more heritage-led appearance, an optional stove canopy is available for the black finish. This changes the character of the appliance significantly, making it more suitable for traditional fireplace settings.
As a multi-fuel stove, the Bassington provides greater fuel flexibility than a dedicated wood burner. It offers a 5kW nominal output, a stated operating range of 2.5–8kW, and efficiency of up to 84%.
The stove can be connected through either the top or rear flue outlet using a 125mm flue. It is also DEFRA approved for burning wood in a smoke controlled area and is supported by the Capital Stoves Lifetime Warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
