The Katell Italia Aprila Pre-Built Media Wall Electric Fire and Fireplace Suite is a contemporary media wall system designed to combine a television, landscape electric fire, hidden cable management and ambient lighting within one coordinated feature. Available with iRange Slimline, iRange Deep or Luminosa fire technology, the Aprila can be configured around the available room depth, preferred flame style and level of fuel-bed realism.
Its low, landscape proportions give the Aprila a clean architectural appearance without the heavier visual presence of a full cabinetry-based media wall. The unit can be installed either floor standing or wall mounted, allowing the finished arrangement to be tailored to the room.
The lower section incorporates concealed cable management to keep TV and electrical wiring out of sight, while integrated LED lighting adds subtle illumination around the media wall.
Choice of Three Fire Technologies
The Aprila is available with four listed configurations:
- Aprila Slim 1500 – i1500e Slimline
- Aprila Deep 1250 – i1250e Deep
- Aprila Deep 1500 – i1500e Deep
- Aprila Lum 150 – Luminosa 150
This allows the same media wall design to be specified with three distinctly different electric fire technologies.
iRange Slimline
The iRange Slimline version is designed where overall depth needs to be kept to a minimum.
LiveFlame technology provides three flame colours with five mood settings per colour, while flame height, brightness and movement can also be adjusted.
The fuel bed features a woodland-style log display, nine lighting colours and four mood settings. A Real Oak Premium Log Set is available as an upgrade.
Heating output is up to 1.5kW, with an electronic thermostat, two automatic heat settings, seven-day programmable timer and open-window detection.
iRange Deep
The iRange Deep versions use a deeper firebox to accommodate larger logs and a more layered fuel bed.
LiveFlame technology provides three flame colours – orange, white or blended – with four mood settings per colour.
The Birch/Oak woodland log set is complemented by flickering fuel-bed illumination, nine colour options and four mood settings. A Premium Real Oak Log Set can also be specified.
Heat output is up to 2kW, with thermostatic control, automatic heat regulation, a seven-day timer and open-window detection.
Luminosa 150
The Luminosa 150 uses LCD Real Flame Technology and a Dark Screen Programme to create a sharper flame image with glowing embers and smoke-style visuals.
It provides 16 flame colour options, five mood settings per colour, nine log-light settings, three downlight settings and an Ambilight fuel bed with ten colour choices.
Heating output is up to 2kW, with 1kW and 2kW settings, thermostatic remote control, open-window detection and a seven-day programmable timer.
Media Wall Layout
The Aprila uses a two-level design with a narrower upper section and broader base.
Depending on the selected model, overall height is either 2092mm or 2122mm. The top plinth is 1850mm wide, while the lower section extends to 2000mm / 79″.
Two TV opening sizes are available:
- 55″ TV: 1250 x 780mm opening
- 65″ TV: 1480 x 850mm opening
The base can include a mirrored plinth with optional downlights, while an optional shelf can be added, increasing the base plinth height by 18mm.
Bespoke sizes are also available on request.

Expert Insight
The Aprila is especially useful where a complete TV and fire feature is wanted without the visual weight of a larger storage-led media wall. The Slimline version keeps projection to a minimum, while the Deep and Luminosa alternatives provide either greater physical fuel-bed depth or more advanced LCD flame effects.
Its ability to be either floor standing or wall mounted also gives more flexibility than many fixed-format media wall systems.
Suitability
The Katell Italia Aprila is suited to contemporary living rooms, media spaces and open-plan interiors where a clean TV-and-fire feature wall is required. Its 2000mm-wide base gives it enough visual presence for larger rooms, while the Slimline option makes it practical where room depth is more restricted.
Installation/ Technical Notes
The Aprila can be installed floor standing or wall mounted, depending on the selected layout.
The suite is made to order and can be customised using multiple Katell finishes. Bespoke sizing is also available on request.
An optional shelf adds 18mm to the base plinth height.
The stated typical lead time is approximately 6–8 weeks.
