The design is deliberately simple, allowing the marble to provide much of the visual interest. In Arabescato, the Wren takes on a more expressive character thanks to the stone’s ivory-toned background and strong natural veining, which can range from soft dusty grey through to darker, more pronounced movement.
Arabescato is one of the most widely recognised Italian marbles and is particularly effective on a pared-back surround such as the Wren. The relatively plain architectural frame avoids competing with the natural pattern of the stone, allowing the veining to become the decorative feature.
