The Reeded Cast Iron Fireplace Chamber Lining Panels – 15mm provide a robust and historically appropriate solution for lining the internal chamber of a traditional fireplace. Commonly used in Georgian fireplace restorations, heritage properties and reproduction period interiors, these solid cast iron panels recreate the classic vertical fluted appearance associated with original fireplace chamber linings.
Manufactured from solid cast iron, each panel creates a durable and heat-resistant surface suitable for use within fireplace chambers serving compatible solid fuel appliances. The substantial construction makes these panels particularly well suited to restoration work where authenticity, longevity and a traditional finish are important.
The regular vertical reeded design adds depth and definition to the fireplace opening while providing the architectural character expected from a period-style installation. It works especially well in Georgian interiors, larger traditional fireplaces and inglenook settings where the full chamber is intended to be lined.
These panels are designed for use with a cast iron firegrate featuring an integral small back. This helps create the correct relationship between the grate and chamber lining while producing a more cohesive and historically accurate finished appearance. The firegrate or basket is not included and must be selected separately.
A wide range of panel sizes is available, allowing the chamber lining to be configured around standard fireplace openings as well as larger bespoke projects. Panels can be cut on site using an angle grinder, giving the installer additional flexibility when adapting the cast iron to suit the exact opening.
The nominal panel thickness is approximately 15mm, with a stated manufacturing tolerance of ±3mm. Due to the casting process, slight variations in panel weight and dimensions should be expected. A 12mm sizing tolerance should be allowed when planning the chamber and ordering the required panels.
With their substantial cast iron construction, authentic reeded detailing and broad choice of sizes, the Reeded Cast Iron Fireplace Chamber Lining Panels – 15mm are an excellent choice for traditional fireplace rebuilding and period restoration projects.

Bought two of the 60″ x 40″, arrived when they said it would and great quality cast. Finishes my fireplace chamber nicely. A positive experience overall.
