The Moncado 50″ Medistone Limestone Fireplace Surround is a stylish natural stone surround designed to bring elegance, balance and lasting appeal to the room. Designed by a talented in-house team, it combines clean simple lines with a graceful sweeping arch to create a fireplace that feels both classic and design-led. The result is a surround with broad appeal, making it a popular choice for a wide range of interiors.
This 50″ version features a mantel in natural Medistone limestone, giving the fireplace a warm and refined appearance with the individual character that comes from real stone. Rigorous stone selection direct from the quarry helps ensure a high standard of quality and finish, making the Moncado an excellent option for customers who want a limestone fireplace surround with genuine substance and visual presence.
Elegant Sweeping Arch Design
What sets the Moncado apart is its combination of simplicity and softer shaping. While the overall design remains clean and uncluttered, the elegant arch introduces a more decorative element that gives the surround added character without making it feel overworked. This helps the Moncado suit a wide variety of room settings, from more traditional homes to updated interiors that still benefit from a natural stone fireplace feature.
At 50″ wide, the Moncado is well proportioned for many chimney breasts and fireplace walls. It offers enough scale to create a clear focal point within the room, while remaining versatile enough to work comfortably in many different property styles and layouts.
Available As A Chamber Or Slip Set Version
The Moncado fireplace surround is available as either a chamber version or a slip set version, giving you flexibility depending on the appliance and overall fireplace style you want to achieve. This makes it a practical choice for customers planning either a freestanding stove installation or an inset fire setup.
The chamber version is suitable for compatible closed burning wood or multi fuel free standing stoves, compatible closed burning free standing gas stoves and compatible free standing electric stoves. The slip set version is suitable for compatible closed burning wood or multi fuel inset fires, compatible closed or open burning gas inset fires and compatible inset electric fires.
Natural Stone Quality With Practical Options
The mantel is available in natural Medistone limestone, chosen for its attractive finish and natural variation. For the chamber version, standard black granite hearths are available in honed or polished finishes, while vermiculite chambers are available in reeded, brick, stone block, herringbone or plain designs. These choices make it easier to tailor the final fireplace to suit the room and appliance type.
Optional extras may also be available subject to request, including made to measure black granite hearths, made to measure black granite slip sets, cast brick chambers in Rustic Gold or Platinum Grey, and an ambient down-light kit where suitable. These options give greater flexibility for projects that need a more bespoke finish.
