Its panelled construction is deliberately uncluttered, giving the surround a crisp, modern character while allowing the marble to provide most of the visual interest. This makes the Manhattan Classic Reduced particularly effective in rooms where a strong natural stone feature is wanted but a larger 58″ surround would feel too dominant.
Lilac Viola is a calcite marble with a translucent white background crossed by bold, irregular veining that moves between violet, lilac and black. The stone is quarried in the Mugla region of south-west Turkey, bordering the Aegean Sea.
Because the patterning is naturally random, every finished surround has its own character. Some pieces may show broad violet movement, while others display finer lilac veining or darker black accents across the stone.
The Manhattan Classic Reduced measures approximately 1372mm / 54″ wide x 1079.5mm / 42½″ high, making it noticeably more compact than the standard 58″ Manhattan Classic.
Its fireplace opening measures 940mm / 37″ wide x 863.5mm / 34″ high, giving the surround a lower, more compact proportion that works well on smaller chimney breasts.
