The Onyx Eclipse 65HLR is a tall-format LCD inset electric fire designed to create a more substantial focal point within a fireplace or recessed wall installation. Its near-square proportions provide a generous viewing area for the flame display, while IlluminOak Split Oak effect logs, Chromalight® Plus lighting and up to 2kW of thermostatic heat add both atmosphere and practical warmth.
With 16 LCD flame effects, extensive lighting customisation and touch, remote and app control, the Eclipse 65HLR combines a strong architectural presence with a highly adaptable electric fire display.
Tall, Near-Square Fireplace Design
The defining feature of the Eclipse 65HLR is its taller format. With the complete four-sided frame fitted, it measures 687mm wide x 646mm high, giving it considerably more height than the landscape Eclipse 65R while retaining the same overall width.
This makes it particularly well suited to substantial fireplace surrounds, bespoke chimney breasts and installations where a taller flame display will better suit the proportions of the room.
Authentic LCD Flame Technology
The Eclipse 65HLR uses Authentic LCD Flame Technology with a choice of 16 flame effects. These include a range of different flame styles designed to create varied visual settings across the large viewing window.
Five brightness levels allow the display to be adjusted from a stronger, more prominent flame picture to a softer evening effect.
IlluminOak Split Oak Logs
The IlluminOak Split Oak effect logs feature internal illumination with a gently pulsing glow, adding depth and character beneath the LCD flame display.
Eight log-lighting colours and a spectrum mode allow the fuel effect to be personalised to suit the surrounding room.
Chromalight Plus Lighting
Chromalight® Plus provides eight fuel bed up-lighting colours plus spectrum mode. Adjustable downlighting can also be set to Amber or White, or switched off completely.
Nine MyFlame presets bring flame and lighting settings together, while three presets can be personalised and saved through the MUS Flame app.
Wall Or Fireplace Installation
The Eclipse 65HLR can be recessed into a suitably prepared wall or incorporated into a fireplace with a correctly sized custom opening.
The integrated four-sided gloss black frame is supplied as standard. For a hearth-mounted fireplace arrangement, the lower section can be removed to create a three-sided frame.
- Four-Sided Visible Size: 687mm wide x 646mm high
- Three-Sided Visible Size: 687mm wide x 621mm high
- Appliance Depth: 272mm
The Eclipse 65HLR is not designed for a standard 16″ fireplace back panel opening. The manufacturer’s installation instructions should be used to determine the required opening, recess and clearances before installation work begins.
Up To 2kW Thermostatic Heating
The Eclipse 65HLR provides up to 2kW of supplementary electric heating. Thermostatic control allows a room temperature of up to 35°C to be selected.
The flame and lighting effects can operate independently of the heater, allowing the fire to be enjoyed throughout the year. A separate fan-only setting is also available.
Touch, Remote And App Control
The fire can be controlled using its discreet touch panel, the supplied remote handset or the MUS Flame app on compatible iOS and Android devices.
App control provides access to flame and lighting settings, temperature adjustment, programmable daily and weekly schedules and personalised MyFlame presets.
Adaptive Start And Open Window Detection
Adaptive Start can activate the heating ahead of a programmed time to help the room reach the selected temperature when required.
Open Window Detection responds to a rapid fall in temperature by switching off the heater, helping reduce unnecessary energy use.
Optional Mood Lighting
An optional Onyx LED Mood Lighting Kit is available separately, offering 13 colours plus spectrum mode. It can be incorporated into the surrounding fireplace, shelving or feature wall to extend the lighting effect beyond the appliance.
