The Stûv 30-UP is a wall mounted wood burning stove designed to maximise heat output while minimising floor space, making it ideal for modern interiors and energy efficient homes. Its defining feature is the innovative three door system, allowing you to switch seamlessly between closed combustion, open fire, and slow burn modes depending on how you want to use the fire.
Suspended above the floor, this stove creates a striking architectural focal point while freeing up valuable space beneath. The integrated convection column captures heat from the flue and redistributes it into the room, improving overall efficiency and comfort rather than losing heat through the chimney.
At the core of the design is the rotating drum system with three distinct door positions. The glass door delivers a controlled, efficient burn with a clear view of the flames, while the solid door reduces radiated heat and allows the fire to slow down when required. The open fire position transforms the stove into a more traditional experience, allowing direct heat, the sound and smell of burning wood, and even optional grilling with the barbecue accessory.
Combustion performance is highly refined, with a third generation system that improves burn efficiency, reduces emissions, and helps keep the glass cleaner for longer. A single control manages combustion air, post combustion, and airwash, ensuring consistent performance without constant adjustment.

Expert Insight
The ability to connect directly to external air makes this model particularly well suited to modern airtight or low energy homes, where drawing combustion air from the room can cause performance issues. The integrated convection system is also a significant advantage, as it recovers heat typically lost through the flue and redistributes it efficiently into the living space.
The three door system is not just aesthetic—it provides genuine control over heat output, burn rate, and user experience, which is rarely achieved in a single appliance.
Suitability
Ideal for smaller rooms, contemporary interiors, and low energy or well insulated homes. The suspended design suits projects where maintaining floor space or creating a minimalist, architectural feature is important. Also well suited to design led renovations or new builds where both performance and visual impact matter.
Installation / Technical Notes
Requires installation on a non combustible wall with sufficient structural support and a non combustible floor beneath. Compatible with a Ø180mm flue, with connection possible from the top or rear. External air supply can be ducted from below or behind the appliance. Minimum clearance to combustible materials at the sides is 10 cm. Designed to operate with chimney draught between 2000 and 4000 Pa for optimal performance.
