The Contura 610AG Style wood burning stove combines a glass door with a distinctive Artstone surround, creating a 600 series model with a more architectural look and a strong visual presence. With its natural grey cast stone finish, A+ efficiency class, and practical storage options, it is designed for homes that want higher performance with a more substantial material feel.
A defining feature of this model is the Artstone surround. Described as a natural grey, velvet ground cast stone unique to Contura, it gives the stove a more powerful and grounded appearance than a standard metal finish. That makes it especially effective in interiors where the stove is intended to act as a focal point rather than simply a heat source. The glass door adds contrast to that heavier material character by opening up the fire view and giving the front a more modern feel. The stove is also available with a log compartment or door, which adds flexibility depending on whether open storage or a cleaner closed look is preferred.
This model includes several practical features designed for everyday use. The Automatic Start Function controls lighting air through the grate, allowing the stove to be lit with the door shut rather than left open during start up. The Refuelling Boost Function helps revive embers that are nearly spent by introducing fresh oxygen from below, making it easier for new logs to catch. The Silent Sliding Ashtray makes emptying smoother and quieter, while the cool touch handle improves comfort during normal use. A warming shelf is also available, providing a practical surface for keeping drinks warm above the stove.

Expert Insight:
Material choice can significantly change how a stove sits within a room visually. A surround such as Artstone gives the appliance more presence and weight, which can be especially effective in design led spaces where the stove needs to feel integrated into the architecture rather than simply added in.
Suitability:
This model is well suited to living rooms, extensions, and interior schemes where a stronger, more sculptural stove finish is part of the brief. It is a strong option for buyers who want a modern flame view with more distinctive surrounding material.
