Contura Stoves look very nice and trendy, and if installed properly work well with good quality kiln dried logs. However, having purchased one with a white paintwork finish it has been disappointing in that the paintwork still seems to deteriorate quite easily, with the paintwork pealing off in places. A few panels were replaced after only a few months of careful use but yet again they have shown the paintwork lifting off the repaced panels. This makes me think the white paint may not be fit for purpose. If I had to chose again I would definitely NOT have it with white paintwork, in fact I would most likely choose black. Having looked at the white paintwork closely, it does not look very thickly applied. So think carefully before you make any decision on the appearance quality of the stove finish. This is without doubt my opinion of the white panel paint quality.
