Yes, we can quote for the installation of your fireplace hearths. We’re renowned fireplace hearth installers in Berkshire and the home counties including London.

However, we do generally tend to combine a fireplace hearth install with all of the component parts of a fireplace and stove installation to make it more cost effective.

No! We install log burners, gas fires and electric fireplaces. Generally, if a client requires a hearth installation we try to combine this with a full install to make it more cost effective.

Yes! All of our hearths can be collected from our showroom in Reading, Berkshire (RG7 2PQ).

T-shaped fireplace hearths should be two hearths because otherwise they can crack. Due to the weight of a free standing log burner or gas fire this can cause pressure and strain on the hearth. Furthermore, the joins can be used for potential heat expansion. We would always recommend two hearths as opposed to one large slab.

Due to the fragile nature of fireplace hearths, we cannot use the pallet network or general third party couriers. We use a premium Door to Door delivery service that will ensure that your fireplace hearth arrives in one piece.

We also allow for collection from our showroom in Reading, Berkshire (RG7 2PQ).

All of our fireplace hearths are made to order by our stonemasons. This is estimated 2-3 weeks from order which can extend in the colder months of the year.

Edge Detailing

We offer two hearth edge options: a rounded edge or chamfered edge depending on your preferences.  This gives the perfect finish to the exposed sides of your made-to-measure slate hearth.

Both options will complement your slate, giving that truly ‘finished’ look. Your quoted price will be ‘all inclusive’, which means there is no extra charge for either of these edgework options.

Rounded Edge

The term 'pencil' refers to the rounded finish of the edge radius, which is similar to the roundness of a pencil.

Chamfered Edge

A chamfer is a beveled edge connecting two surfaces. If the surfaces are at right angles, the chamfer will typically be symmetrical at 45 degrees.
