Black Edition
The special black version of the New Forest fires makes the fire look better. It has a dark glass panel that stops reflections, making the flames look deeper and more real, so it feels like you’re really there.
It comes with Deluxe Real Logs, which are oak logs from southern England that have been scorched by hand. They sit on bark and twigs to look more real. When you put all this together – the dark glass and the lifelike logs – it looks like a real wood fire.
The anti-reflective glass is added as an optional extra.
Air Curtain Technology®

The 870 comes with a sleek thermostatic remote control that has many options and features enabling the fire to be used to its full potential from the comfort of any location.
- Down Lighting: Turn on the spotlights to highlight all the details of the fire. Turn them off to see how calm the fuel bed can appear.
- Flame Control: Choose from four settings to adjust the brightness of the flame to suit your mood. You can watch the flames change in brightness and height on the rear screen.
- Fuel Bed Colour Change: Pick from three different colours for the fuel bed, each giving a unique look. If you can’t decide, use the cycle setting to go through all the colours.
- Timer Boost: Programme the heater to remain on for one to nine hours, depending on your needs.
- Thermostatic Heating: The Air Curtain Technology® heater system can be managed with the remote. Set a temperature between 17°C and 27°C, and the fire will warm the room to your desired temperature, displayed on the LCD screen.
- Daily and Weekly Timer: Schedule the fire to heat the room any day of the week. The seven-day programmable calendar remembers your preferences and will activate the heater each day and week when needed.
