The Cast Tec Eden Integra Cast Iron Fireplace Insert is designed for homeowners seeking authentic Victorian character without compromising on heating efficiency. With its decorative canopy and intricate casting, the Eden captures the elegance of period fireplaces while integrating seamlessly with contemporary fire technology.
Its tiled configuration provides the opportunity to introduce colour and texture, making it adaptable to a wide variety of interior schemes. Whether installed in a period property or used to add heritage charm to a newer home, it creates a strong visual focal point.
Design, Materials & Visual Impact
Manufactured from solid cast iron, the Eden Integra features detailed ornamentation across the canopy and frame. The raised patterns reflect classic Victorian styling, adding depth and craftsmanship that elevate the overall fireplace presentation.
Two finish options are available: a matt black finish for a bold, traditional appearance, or an Antique graphite-toned finish offering a softer, subtly metallic look. The tiled side panels allow you to incorporate decorative ceramic tiles, creating contrast against the darker cast iron framework.
This flexibility enables the insert to complement both richly detailed period rooms and more restrained interiors seeking a statement centrepiece.
Heat Performance & Efficiency
The Eden Integra is engineered to accommodate Cast Tec’s advanced Integra gas fire range. Unlike many traditional cast inserts that only support low-output decorative gas fires, the Integra system is compatible with high-performance gas appliances designed to deliver meaningful heat output and improved efficiency.
Options include fires suitable for various flue configurations, including balanced flue models that allow installation in properties without a traditional chimney. This ensures the Eden can be specified in both period homes and modern properties.
Electric & Alternative Fire Options
For those preferring electric heating, the Integra Electric Fire option provides a realistic flame effect with a flame-only setting for year-round ambience. A 1.5kW heat output setting delivers supplementary warmth when required.
The electric unit is operated via remote control, with manual override controls located on the appliance. When installed within a fireplace surround featuring a 3-inch rebate, it can sit flat against the wall without the need for additional recess depth.
Installation & Compatibility
The Eden Integra is designed to fit within standard-sized fireplace surrounds, making it suitable for use with a wide variety of timber, marble or limestone mantels. Professional installation is recommended for gas appliances to ensure safe and compliant fitting.
When selecting the electric option, note that the internal configuration of the insert differs slightly to accommodate the appliance.
